The Ensemble Theatre’s Celebrity Gala

Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, August 17, 2013, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Hyatt Regency – Downtown for The Ensemble Theatre’s Celebrity Gala. Under the theme “Creating Magical Moments: All the World’s a Stage,” The Ensemble Theatre regularly hosts the annual affair to recognize and celebrate artists, companies, and individuals whose unparalleled support enables The Ensemble Theatre to be one of Houston's most coveted cultural institutional treasures. This year’s honorees were Marla Gibbs, Lifetime Achievement Award; Kim Coles, Actress of the Year Award; Mykel "Miss Mykie" Yowman, Rising Star Award; Spectra Energy, Corporate Founder's Award; H-E-B, Corporation of the Year; E-STEM Academy, Community Partner of the Year; Becky and Ralph S. O'Connor, Individual Founder's Award and A. Renee Logans, President's Award. Regina Rogers was the Honorary Chair of the affair, while Sharon Murphy and Laurie Vignaud served as Gala Dinner Co-Chairs.
