FOX 26 anchor DaLaun Dillard will host the tournament as golfers and sponsors gather to support St. Dominic Village residents

HOUSTON, TEXAS - on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, St. Dominic Village will welcome golfers, sponsors, and community supporters to the 22nd Annual Bishop Rizzotto Memorial Golf Classic at Wildcat Golf Club, 12000 Almeda Road in Houston. Check-in begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by a noon shotgun start.

DaLaun Dillard, co-anchor of Houston's Morning Show and FOX 26 News at noon, will host this year's event. Dillard will help guide the tournament program and recognize the sponsors, golfers and supporters whose participation benefits the residents of St. Dominic Village.

Raye G. and Edward P. White are this year’s title sponsors for the annual fundraiser. Their leadership, along with support from participating companies, families and community partners, helps St. Dominic Village provide housing, care and services for elderly adults across its Houston Medical Center campus.  Event Co-chairs are Louis Pelz of Core Capital Management and Research Inc. and Paul Layne of Layne Property Partners, two successful businessmen giving back to the community through their dedication and philanthropy.

Now in its 22nd year, the Bishop Rizzotto Memorial Golf Classic is one of St. Dominic Village's annual fundraisers. Proceeds support the nonprofit's continuum of care and resident initiatives, including activities and programs that encourage social connection, physical activity and regular engagement.

As Houston moves into fall and winter, daylight hours shorten, temperatures shift and routines change, making consistent connection and engagement especially important for older adults. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that winter pattern seasonal affective disorder often begins in late fall or early winter. Symptoms may include low energy, oversleeping, loss of interest and social withdrawal. Shorter daylight can also affect the brain chemicals and sleep wake cycles involved in mood and daily rhythms.

The 2026 America's Health Rankings Senior Report found that 16.8 percent of Texans age 65 and older reported that a health professional had told them they had a depressive disorder. The finding uses 2024 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, the latest year available. Tournament proceeds help St. Dominic Village provide resources, activities and structured programming that keep residents connected, active and supported as the seasons change.

The tournament welcomes seasoned golfers and casual players to Wildcat Golf Club. Foursome registration is $1,500 and includes lunch, beverages and gifts for each player. Individual golfer registration and the Sponsor a Priest option are $375 each. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $500. The signage print deadline is September 25, 2026.
