National Cheeseburger Day is Friday, September 18, but Texas Dairy Queen restaurants are giving burger fans an early reason to celebrate.

From September 14 through September 18, participating Dairy Queen restaurants across Texas are offering fans a free Hungr-Buster with cheese with a purchase of $1 or more. The limited-time offer is available exclusively through the DQ App.

The Hungr-Buster has been a longtime Texas favorite, featuring a quarter-pound burger with cheese topped with crispy lettuce, tomatoes, purple onion, pickles and yellow mustard. The combination of classic burger toppings gives the Texas staple its familiar flavor.

The five-day promotion gives DQ fans multiple opportunities to take advantage of the National Cheeseburger Day celebration rather than limiting the deal to September 18.

The Hungr-Buster has been part of the Texas Dairy Queen menu for 50 years, making the cheeseburger promotion a nod to a menu item with a longstanding connection to the state.

For those looking to round out their meal with something sweet, Dairy Queen's Fall Blizzard Treat Collection is also available. The seasonal lineup includes the new Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat along with the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat.

For more than 79 years, Dairy Queen restaurants in Texas have served as gathering spots for Texans looking for burgers, frozen treats and other menu favorites.
