Galveston is gearing up to launch its 2026 Mardi Gras celebration, with the first weekend packed with live music, DJs, and nonstop festivities that transform downtown into a vibrant party destination. The celebration runs Friday, February 6, through Sunday, February 8, setting the tone for the season with multiple stages, block parties, and parades.
The weekend’s entertainment blends Texas country, funk, jazz, Latin music, and high-energy EDM. Highlights include block parties at the historic Tremont House, late-night dance experiences at Electric Mardi Gras!, and even a street circus, keeping revelers moving well into the night.

Weekend One Music Highlights
Logan Ryan Band – Friday, February 6 | Known for high-energy Texas country with Red Dirt roots, the band will kick off the weekend under the lights.
Wade Bowen – Saturday, February 7 | The chart-topping singer-songwriter brings his signature sound and crowd-driven performances to downtown Galveston.
Little Joe y La Familia – Sunday, February 8 | Closing out the weekend, the Tejano music legend celebrates Hispanic music and community during Fiesta Gras.
Select Weekend One Parades
- Friday, February 6: Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade Procession (8:30 p.m.) and additional parades, including the George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Award Honoree Parade and Da Krewe du Roux’s Gumbeaux Gras Parade.
- Saturday, February 7: Four parades, including Mystic Krewe of Aquarius and Krewe of Gambrinus, plus the Jolly Jester Jaunt 5K.
- Sunday, February 8 – Fiesta Gras!: ¡Fiesta, Gras! Parade at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Los Locos Vaqueros Jeep & Golf Cart Parade at 4:00 p.m., celebrating Hispanic heritage and local culture.
