Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center is set to begin a transformative $6 million renovation this fall, updating its guestrooms and meeting spaces with a modern, nature-inspired design. The project is scheduled to start on September 22 and continue through February 27, 2026.

The refresh will include new carpet, furniture, fixtures, 55-inch televisions, and Bluetooth-enabled vanity mirrors in all guestrooms. King rooms will feature upgraded walk-in showers, while two-queen rooms will receive new tubs and showerheads. Meeting and event spaces, including the Moody Ballroom, Floral Ballroom, breakout meeting rooms, and pre-function hallways, will also be enhanced to provide a refreshed and elevated experience for guests.

The design, developed by Houston-based firm Graniti Vicentia, draws inspiration from Moody Gardens’ lush botanical gardens and organic materials, creating a tranquil, vibrant, and timeless atmosphere throughout the resort. The updates align with evolving guest preferences and Moody Gardens Hotel’s commitment to sustainability while maintaining the natural aesthetic that defines the property.

Situated on 242 acres along the Gulf Coast, the 433-room Moody Gardens Hotel offers a full-service spa and salon, fine and casual dining, and direct access to Galveston’s iconic attractions, including the property’s famous pyramids.
