Visit Lake Charles has announced the return of its Spanish-language podcast series, Visita Lake Charles: Las Voces de Luisiana, following the success of its inaugural season. The series is hosted by Candy Rodriguez, director of communications at Visit Lake Charles.
The second season carries the theme Descubriendo Lake Charles (Discovering Lake Charles) and features four episodes highlighting Hispanic and Latino voices. The series aims to showcase the stories, attractions, festivals, and Cajun and Creole cuisine that define Southwest Louisiana as a travel destination.
Guests scheduled to appear this season include Lilieth Flores, co-owner of La Nica Mini Market; Diana Vallette, editor at Lagniappe Magazine; Gus Garden, owner of Area 337; and Jessica Colon, casino host at Horseshoe Lake Charles Hotel & Casino.
Rodriguez noted that continuing the podcast provides an opportunity to share experiences in Spanish and educate travelers about the region’s offerings. Timothy Bush, chief marketing officer at Visit Lake Charles, said the continuation of the podcast underscores the organization’s commitment to connecting with Spanish-speaking audiences and promoting inclusivity in tourism outreach.
Episodes of Visita Lake Charles: Las Voces de Luisiana are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, and YouTube.
