Families in Southeast Houston now have greater access to essential health care with the opening of two new school-based clinics at YES Prep Hobby Elementary (7660 Hansen Rd.) and YES Prep Hobby Secondary (8787 Tallyho Rd.). Operated through a partnership between YES Prep Public Schools and Legacy Community Health, the clinics provide pediatric and behavioral health services directly on campus, helping students stay healthy, focused, and in class by removing transportation barriers.

These new locations are the 20th and 21st joint clinic sites between YES Prep and Legacy, bringing the total number of Legacy school-based clinics in the Greater Houston and Galena Park communities to 39. The clinics serve all YES Prep students, their siblings, and children of YES Prep employees, regardless of which campus they attend. Services are offered regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay.

The new clinics reflect YES Prep’s commitment to supporting students’ well-being in every aspect of their lives. By providing care on campus, the partnership with Legacy ensures that students and families have easier access to the health services they need to thrive. The initiative also highlights the growing trend of school-based health programs in Houston, offering convenient, accessible care that supports both student health and academic success.
