The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 10500 block of State Highway 6 South in Sugar Land on June 21, 2025.
Deputies responded around 11:51 a.m. to reports of a white Toyota Camry that had veered off the roadway and crashed into a ditch along the southbound lanes. Upon arrival, they discovered the driver, identified as 43-year-old Roy Ferrer, deceased from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Preliminary findings suggest that road rage may have played a role in the incident. Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest captured on surveillance video — a gray 2013–2019 Nissan Sentra with dark-tinted windows.
The Sheriff’s Office continues to treat the case as a top priority as investigators work to identify those responsible. Anyone with information about the homicide or the vehicle of interest is urged to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at 281-341-4665 (option 1) or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.
