Texas State Parks Day returns on Saturday, November 2, 2025, offering free entry to all 89 state parks across the state. Established as part of the 2023 centennial celebration, the annual event encourages Texans to explore the natural beauty and recreational opportunities found in their state parks.
Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including hiking, wildlife watching, biking, swimming, paddleboarding, and participating in park programs. With parks located throughout nearly every region of Texas, the day offers opportunities to experience the state’s diverse landscapes, from rolling hills to forests and lakes.
In advance of Veterans Day on November 11, Texas State Parks also highlights the Parkland Passport program, which provides veterans, active duty military personnel, and Gold Star family members with free access to all state parks.
Reservations for Texas State Parks Day are recommended and can be made online. Parks will operate under normal hours and limit admissions based on capacity. While entry will be free for the day, all other standard park fees will still apply.
