UFCU Expands Houston Presence with Two New Branches

UFCU, one of Texas's leading and fastest-growing credit unions, is expanding its footprint in the Houston metro area with the launch of two new branches set to open this summer and fall. The expansion aims to increase access to affordable, purpose-driven financial services and empower financial success for more residents across the region.

The new branches will be located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center at 7000 Fannin St., UCT Suite 120, and in Pearland at 2940 Broadway Bend. With these additions, UFCU will operate a total of four branches in the greater Houston area, serving over 30,000 existing members and welcoming new ones.

This strategic growth supports UFCU’s long-term commitment to delivering innovative, member-focused financial services across Texas. The credit union's expansion into Houston aligns with its mission to provide equitable banking solutions and strengthen financial well-being within the communities it serves.

The move also reflects UFCU's decades-long partnership with the University of Texas Medical Branch, which has now extended to serving UTHealth Houston employees in the Texas Medical Center. This relationship has evolved into a broader strategy to serve members where they live, work, and shop — starting with professionals dedicated to improving health outcomes.

The Texas Medical Center branch is scheduled to open in late summer 2025, followed by the Pearland location in early fall. As part of its growth plan, UFCU is also investing in digital banking tools that enhance convenience and accessibility for members, reinforcing its goal of affordable and impactful banking across Texas.

With nearly 90 years of service, UFCU continues to lead with a member-first philosophy and community-centered approach, now bringing its vision for financial empowerment to even more Houstonians.
