The Ensemble Theatre Hosts TopGolf Tournament in Houston to Engage Gen Z and Millennials in Arts Fundraising

The Ensemble Theatre is launching a new initiative aimed at redefining what it means to be a patron of the arts. With its first-ever TopGolf Tournament and Social, the organization is focusing on engaging Gen Z and Millennial participants through an event that combines networking, entertainment, and charitable giving.

Scheduled for Sunday, August 24, 2025, the event will take place at TopGolf located at 1030 Memorial Brook Blvd. in Houston. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m., and the tournament runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will include food and refreshments, trophies for the winning team, and opportunities for social interaction among young professionals, corporate teams, and student organizations.

By introducing this new kind of fundraiser, The Ensemble Theatre seeks to encourage younger generations to support arts programming in innovative and engaging ways. The event is positioned as an inclusive and approachable opportunity for individuals and groups to contribute to the theater's mission while enjoying a recreational experience.

Founded in 1976, The Ensemble Theatre is one of the oldest and largest professional African American theatres in the United States. Located in the heart of Houston’s Midtown district, the theatre is dedicated to the production of works that preserve African American artistic expression and empower underrepresented communities. It operates year-round with a full season of plays, youth initiatives, and educational outreach programs. As a nonprofit organization, it relies on community support and philanthropic engagement to sustain its programming and mission.
