Texas Businesses Respond with Flood Relief Support Across Communities

As communities across Texas continue to recover from the catastrophic flooding over the Fourth of July weekend, Houston Style Magazine is recognizing the advertising partners who have stepped up in meaningful ways to support those impacted.

The recent floods, which swept through central and western parts of Texas, have left families displaced, homes damaged, and infrastructure in need of repair. In response to this devastation, several Houston Style partners have mobilized quickly, providing financial resources, supplies, and hands-on support to help Texans rebuild.

Among the first to respond was H-E-B, along with the Butt Family and the H.E. Butt Foundation, announcing a $5 million commitment to flood recovery efforts.

“H-E-B is committed to providing our communities with immediate and long-term relief as efforts continue in response to the destructive floods that have devastated areas across Texas,” the company stated.

Of the $5 million, $2 million will go to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country for its Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which aids communities including Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. H-E-B is also actively working on the ground, deploying meals, supplies, and volunteers to affected areas. Nonprofits such as the American Red Cross, Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR), and the Salvation Army have also received donations. Gift cards have been distributed in communities and school districts, including Ingram ISD and the United Way of Concho Valley in San Angelo.

In the aftermath of the flood, H-E-B sent its Mobile Kitchen to Ingram, delivered supplies to areas like Center Point and Hunt, and mobilized Partner (employee) volunteers throughout flood-affected regions including Burnet, Georgetown, Leander, Liberty Hill, Marble Falls, and San Angelo. The company also launched a check stand donation campaign in stores and online, with customer donations going to local nonprofits. Favor Delivery, a company under the H-E-B umbrella, is also supporting the campaign.

As the company emphasized, “H-E-B holds compassion and strength for our fellow Texans. In the coming weeks and months, H-E-B will stay close to impacted communities and provide ongoing support throughout the recovery process.”

Veritex Community Bank has also taken action, contributing to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, the Ark of the Highland Lakes, and the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.
“We invite our fellow Texas businesses and neighbors to join us,” the bank said. “Every act of generosity brings hope.”

The Houston Astros are committing $1 million toward immediate and long-term flood recovery. Their contribution will address emergency response needs and support rebuilding efforts, with a focus on youth initiatives.

Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves also pledged $1 million to the American Red Cross.

“Our hearts break as we witness the devastating impact of the flooding in Kerrville and the surrounding communities. We’re deeply saddened by the lives impacted and the loved ones lost, and our hearts and prayers go out to everyone impacted,” Graves said. “We’re sending prayers and strength to everyone impacted by this disaster and are grateful for the heroic efforts of first responders and organizations like the American Red Cross for providing critical support and aid to those in need.”
