In a field where Black female winemakers are nearly invisible, Dr. Hope Foster is a powerhouse redefining what access and ownership look like. As the founder of Signature Sipz, she is believed to be the first Black woman in the U.S. to professionally develop wine brands for others—guiding entrepreneurs through every step of wine creation, from flavor to label, compliance to distribution. Her mission is clear: not just to make wine, but to make owners.

With 17 years of experience and over 1,000 custom blends to her name, Dr. Foster has helped her clients secure spots in retail shelves, bars, and even open their own wineries. Her platform stands as one of the few infrastructures in the country—especially in the South—created by and for minority entrepreneurs in the wine space. Through her work and speaking platform, Dr. Foster champions generational wealth, ownership in closed markets, and legacy-building through entrepreneurship.
