Hotel Emma Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Bold New Winter Menu at Supper

Hotel Emma, the iconic jewel of San Antonio’s Pearl District, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a major culinary unveiling at its acclaimed fine dining restaurant, Supper. Under the direction of James Beard-recognized Executive Chef Geronimo Lopez, Supper has introduced a winter menu that masterfully blends global influences with the rich culinary traditions of South Texas.

Chef Lopez, a celebrated name in the industry with a storied career spanning three decades and three continents, brings his signature touch to every dish. His vision for Supper’s new menu honors the restaurant’s long-standing favorites while infusing vibrant, seasonal ingredients and multicultural flavors. Main dishes showcase his talent for innovation, with offerings such as Black Cod al Pil Pil, enriched with guindilla peppers and garlic, and the decadent Stuffed Quail, served with dirty rice and chicken demi.

For meat lovers, Supper continues its commitment to premium-quality beef with an expanded Wagyu selection and classic cuts like Filet Mignon and Ribeye. Shareable sides, including creamed greens and roasted baby carrots with miso butter, complete the experience. The lunch menu features a mix of hearty and light options, from a Short Rib Grilled Cheese with onion jam and gruyere to a Winter Citrus Salad with fennel and tarragon, ensuring a wide appeal to all diners.

The evolution of Supper doesn’t stop at its food. The beverage program, reimagined by General Manager Scott Ota, promises a refined wine experience and inventive cocktails that reflect the same seasonal and local focus as the menu.

This dedication to quality and community is at the heart of Chef Lopez’s philosophy. He works closely with local farmers, producers, and artisans, ensuring Supper’s menu highlights the best of South Texas. Partnerships with purveyors such as La Babia Beef and the San Antonio Food Bank not only elevate the dishes but also support the local economy and foster sustainable practices.

As part of the anniversary celebration, Supper offers guests an exclusive taste of its culinary innovation with complimentary “Chef’s Tasting” events on Fridays from 5pm - 6pm.

Chef Lopez’s journey to this milestone moment is as remarkable as the dishes he creates. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, he honed his skills in Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe before bringing his expertise to San Antonio in 2012. As an ambassador for the city’s culinary scene, he has promoted San Antonio’s status as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy in global hotspots like London, Frankfurt, and Mexico City, showcasing the Alamo City’s vibrant food culture.
