Aeromexico has been honored as the most punctual global airline of 2024 by Cirium, a leading aviation analytics firm. The award was presented during a press conference held in the airline’s main hangar, marking a significant milestone for both the company and Mexico’s aviation industry.

In 2024, Aeromexico operated nearly 197,000 flights, achieving a 99.32% completion rate of scheduled operations. Punctuality statistics reflected an 87.73% on-time departure rate and an 86.7% on-time arrival rate. This accomplishment positioned Aeromexico as the first and only Mexican airline to attain this level of operational performance.

The recognition comes during a record-breaking year for the airline, which expanded its fleet to over 150 aircraft, served more than 120 routes, and transported over 25.3 million passengers—its highest number to date. Several key factors contributed to this success, including investments in technology, fleet expansion, operational efficiency, and strategic coordination with aviation authorities and service providers.

Aeromexico maintained its strong performance into early 2025, securing the top spot in Cirium’s January punctuality rankings. The airline operated more than 15,800 flights that month, achieving a 90.46% on-time departure rate and an 89.20% on-time arrival rate while completing 99.89% of scheduled flights.

With a network spanning over 120 routes and 95 destinations across Mexico and 21 other countries, Aeromexico continues to enhance global connectivity. As a member of the SkyTeam alliance, passengers gain access to over 1,000 destinations worldwide. The airline’s Joint Cooperation Agreement with Delta Air Lines further strengthens connections between Mexico and the United States, offering more than 90 daily flights across 57 routes to 26 destinations.
