The Edison Arts Foundation is rooted in a rich history of dedication to the arts and community empowerment. Named in honor of Robert and Bertha Edison, the parents of Charity Edison Carter, Founder and Executive Director, the foundation embodies a vision of artistic excellence and social impact. Robert Edison, a successful entrepreneur, founded Combination Plus—now Brokers Quality Grass and Edison Trucking Service, with locations in Houston and Carrollton, Texas. His tireless commitment to business, family, and community ignited a passion in his daughter, Charity, to establish a foundation dedicated to the arts.

Since its inception as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2013, the Edison Arts Foundation has become a beacon for charitable and educational programs, bringing the arts to children, adults, and families throughout the region.
