The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts has expanded its upcoming 2025–2026 Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center Season with the addition of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL as a Season Option. The award-winning production will play in Houston from July 14–19, 2026.

Winner of 10 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL brings Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film to life on stage. Directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, with a book by John Logan, music supervision and orchestrations by Justin Levine, and choreography by Sonya Tayeh, the production delivers an immersive, high-energy experience filled with iconic music, lavish design, and a story that celebrates truth, beauty, freedom, and love.

The production joins a season already featuring eight Broadway hits, including several Houston premieres. The mainstage lineup includes:

• KIMBERLY AKIMBO, the five-time Tony Award®-winning Best Musical
• A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL, a celebration of the life and legacy of the music icon
• THE OUTSIDERS, the 2024 Tony Award® winner for Best Musical, adapted from the acclaimed novel by S.E. Hinton
• DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, returning to the stage with a newly reimagined production
• WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, a poignant adaptation of the bestselling novel
• THE GREAT GATSBY, a theatrical interpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic tale
• SOME LIKE IT HOT, the Tony and Grammy Award®-winning musical based on the 1959 film
• CLUE, the fast-paced, comedic murder mystery inspired by the cult classic movie

In addition to MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL, returning fan favorites HADESTOWN and SIX will also be offered as Season Options for the 2025–2026 season.

The full season features a total of eleven Broadway productions, offering Houston audiences a diverse mix of powerful new works, revivals, and blockbuster hits.

Eight-show subscription packages are available now, starting at $359. Subscribers receive first access to the main season lineup, with the option to add Season Options including MOULIN ROUGE!
