Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Trustee for Position 6, Precinct 1, Danyahel “Danny” Norris, has officially resigned from his role. Norris's decision to step down is driven by his pursuit of a state office candidacy.

In the wake of Norris's resignation, HCDE is actively seeking qualified candidates to fill the now-vacant board position for the remainder of the term, set to expire in December 2024. Eligible applicants must be residents of Harris County Precinct 1.
