The off-season in the NFL is normally a time for rest, family time and workouts to get prepared for a rigorous schedule that begins with training camp in July and runs through the end of the year. But for Texans cornerback Jonathan Joseph, linebacker Dylan Cole, and defensive tackle Carlos Watkins, it was work as usual. Just not their regular day jobs. Along with their mascot Toro and cheerleaders, the players teamed up with United Airlines at George Bush Intercontinental Airport for a meet and greet with airline personnel and customers.

“We really value all the partnerships we have in Houston and the Texans have been such great partners. They are so visible throughout the city and it makes us happy to be able to sponsor them and fly them,” said United Airlines Spokesperson Rachael Rivas.

Joseph, Cole, and Watkins also helped with boarding procedures before they made their way out to the tarmac to assist with pre-inspection of the aircraft, help load luggage, and direct a plane as it prepared for take-off.

“Coming back heading into the season, it’s a great time to kick things off and get back into the flow of things and interact with the fans. They are what makes the game exciting,” said Joseph when asked about what being with the fans today meant to him.
