Spring, TX – Shapes Fitness For Women, a women’s-only members’ gym, is pleased to announce it is open for business in Spring, Texas. Surrounded by a full day of activities, a grand opening celebration will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Representation from the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce will be present and will commemorate the celebration with gym tours, mini-group fitness classes, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The celebration continues all afternoon with fun-filled activities, vendor visits, giveaways and light refreshments.

Shapes Spring is situated in an ideal location 20 miles north of downtown Houston and will help in promoting healthier lifestyles in the Spring, Klein, Tomball, and The Woodlands,Texas, communities. Vanessa Hall, Co-owner and General Manager of Shapes, said “We are so excited to do business that caters to the needs of women! This facility is the result of our passion to see women become healthy from the inside out. We have much more in mind than simply ‘work out and go home.’ We are intentional on creating family and community here.”

The new 6,670-square-foot gym offers a variety of convenient health and fitness options for the community. Equipped with state-of-the-art strength equipment as well as cardio machines outfitted with personalized LCD television screens and iPod docking stations, the club features an infrared sauna, dressing areas with private showers, indoor cycling, personal training, more than 35 group exercise classes, and other amenities. The facility has a wide array of state-of-the-art Precor fitness equipment, featuring a Queenax functional fitness machine and certified instructors, plus much more. “Yes, everything is new,” Hall said, and we have staff who are ready and eager to serve the needs of our clientele. She added that one of the features she is most proud of is the club’s Kids’ Zone, fully stocked with toys, movies, and attendants “and cameras that allow parents to keep their eyes on their babies.” The Kids Zone is available for kids from infancy to 12 years old.

Hall said the Shapes team plans to be very active in the community and became Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce members with that goal squarely in mind.

“Shapes is a great place for women in the community to get to know one another,” Hall said. “Healthy communities are communities that know each other,” Hall said, “and we believe right here is a great place to start. We want to be like the old Cheers television show – a place where everybody knows your name!

Shapes Spring hours of operation are from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Shapes is closed on Sundays “in order to allow staff and members to spend time with their families as well,” Hall said.
