Media visionary Dave Mays, creator of The Source magazine, and business and finance heavyweight Kendrick Ashton have partnered to launch Breakbeat, a multi-media podcast network built to serve the interests and perspectives of the global Hip-Hop community. Breakbeat will deliver authentic, premium, and relevant audio and video content capturing the Hip-Hop community's distinct point-of-view. The platform, which will begin releasing its first shows on Tuesday, September 28th, will produce scripted, non-fiction narrative, news and discussion content, covering a wide range of subjects.

The Harris County Clerk’s Office is looking for election workers to staff more than 800 voting centers that will be open for the November 3, 2020 General Election. Election workers are also needed three weeks prior to the election to work at approximately 100 voting centers during the Early Voting period, October 13-30.

On March 24, President Simmons and I announced a temporary change in grading policy for Spring 2020. The University would allow a Pass/Not Pass (P/NP) grading option for undergraduate courses. At the time, a set of Grading Policy FAQs was established to help students make an informed decision, and the deadline for selection was originally set for noon on Tuesday, April 28, before the Final Exam period began.
