As nearby public schools face a difficult future, Yellowstone College Prep provides families with a safe and academically-driven option for middle school students. The unique charter school model was approved by the state in June 2017 and is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis.

METRO is providing free rides Friday, Nov. 3 for all services to help ease traffic congestion in downtown Houston during the Houston Astros World Series Championship Parade. Fans are encouraged to use the buses and METRORail. There will be parking available along the rail corridor, Minute Maid Park Lot C and the NRG Stadium Orange Lot. The Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) investigated and wrote a letter directly to Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls.
