As nearby public schools face a difficult future, Yellowstone College Prep provides families with a safe and academically-driven option for middle school students. The unique charter school model was approved by the state in June 2017 and is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis.

The Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) investigated and wrote a letter directly to Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls.
