Fort Bend County Libraries’ Adult Services staff will present a variety of free, introductory computer classes this month. The classes will consist of a hands-on introduction to basic skills for people who would like to learn more about using these computer and technology programs. The number of Texans who didn’t have enough to eat over a one-week period increased by 60 percent - from 1,657,518 to 2,667,937 - between August 2021 and August 2023, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau Household Pulse Survey analyzed by Hunger Free America. Previously, in 2021, food hardship in Texas declined, likely because of a large influx of federal food and cash aid.

Early Voting Enthusiasm Soars in Houston
On Monday (October 23rd), thousands flocked to 68 Early Vote Polls across Harris County, marking the first day of Early Voting, fueled by the determination to elect the first new mayor and controller in eight years.
