Turner held a Pre-Swearing-In Reception with his family, friends, business associates, and U.S. Representatives Cleaver and Doggett on January 3, 2025, at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. The affair, hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, was chaired by Representatives Clarke, Carter, McBath, Strickland, and Kamlager-Dove.
