Prairie View A&M University's recent "PVAMU Day at the Capitol," held on February 18 at the Texas State Capitol in Austin, was a dynamic celebration of advocacy, talent, and Panther pride. Students, alumni, and academic leaders united to champion PVAMUās legislative priorities, engaging directly with state representatives to advocate for crucial funding, expanded research opportunities, and programs addressing public health and social issues. The event featured unforgettable performances by the Prairie View A&M Jazz Band and the nationally acclaimed PVAMU Concert Chorale, who filled the Capitol Rotunda with stirring renditions of the national anthem and "Lift Every Voice and Sing." This impactful day not only highlighted PVAMU's commitment to excellence in education and community engagement but also reinforced the University's Strategic Plan 2035, "Journey to Eminence," showcasing PVAMU Panthers as true advocates for positive change.
