Photography by Vicky Pink - Big lights, famous stars, and a red carpet were causing a buzz at Houston City Hall for the over-the-top affair for award-winning gospel singer, Dr. Earnest Pugh’s Billboard Celebration hosted by Mayor Sylvester Turner. Pugh’s single “I Need You To Breathe” was on the top 10 charts for Billboard, making this his 11th chart topper. Mayor Turner and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee presented Pugh with proclamations for his achievements. Entertainment was provided by gospel singer Kathy Taylor, Terrence Hartford, Nikki Ross, and Pugh, himself. Some celebrating with Pugh were Pastor Kim Burrell, Author Carlos Wallace, Gospel Singer Nikki Ross, Sky Houston of Majic 102.1 FM, Miss Mykie of BET, former Houston Texan's Player Mister Alexander, The Musicians' Wives, Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee, Earnest Walker of KTSU 90.9, and Jonathan Martin of Fox 26.
