Texas Women Empowerment Foundation’s Community Celebration

On Thursday, October 2, 2014, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the JW Marriott for the Texas Women Empowerment Foundation’s Community Celebration. It was a lively event that featured singer and Broadway actress Fantasia. Another highlight of the night was the awarding of $40,000 worth of scholarships to students. Some in attendance were TWEF founder Deavra Daughtry, Preston Johnson, Stephen Williams, Carey & Judge Clarease Rankin Yates, Vanessa Alonzo, Melinda Spaulding, Vanessa Reed, Joyce Jacquet, and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
