YES Prep Public Schools is earning statewide recognition for its elementary education program, with six campuses ranking among Texas’ best public elementary schools in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Elementary Schools rankings.

YES Prep Southeast Elementary led the network, ranking No. 77 among Texas charter elementary schools and No. 1,194 among all elementary schools in the state. The rankings recognize schools based on student achievement in mathematics and reading, including state assessment results and performance in relation to student demographics.

The recognition highlights the academic progress taking place across YES Prep’s elementary campuses as the Houston-based charter school network works to prepare its youngest students for long-term educational success.

The six YES Prep elementary schools recognized in the rankings include:

• YES Prep Southeast Elementary: No. 77 among Texas charter  elementary schools and No. 1,194 statewide
• YES Prep North Central Elementary: No. 115 among Texas charter elementary schools and No. 1,561 statewide

Launched in 2020, YES Prep’s elementary program is building the academic skills students need as they transition into secondary education. The network emphasizes foundational learning in reading and mathematics, critical thinking and preparation for future college and career opportunities.

The elementary school recognition follows other recent academic milestones for YES Prep. Earlier this year, the network earned an overall score of 89 and a B rating in the Texas Education Agency’s 2026 accountability ratings, its highest score to date. All 15 YES Prep secondary campuses earned an A rating in overall performance.

In August, nine YES Prep high schools also earned places among the top 50 high schools in the Houston area in the 2026–2027 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.

Together, the elementary and secondary school rankings underscore the network’s focus on academic achievement across grade levels, from establishing foundational skills in elementary school to preparing students for success beyond graduation.
