(Houston, TX) – St. Dominic Village is honored to host the 16th Annual Evening with the Bishops, a premier celebration of faith, fellowship, and charitable giving, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the prestigious River Oaks Country Club.
This signature event brings together leaders of the Catholic community, philanthropists, and supporters from across the Houston/Galveston area for an inspiring evening benefiting the residents of St. Dominic Village.

The evening will also feature local pastors and a special address by Denise Fennell, known for her role as “Sister” from Late Nite Catechism, bringing a blend of humor and heartfelt reflection to the evening.
This year’s distinguished event is presented by Raye White, whose generosity as Presenting Sponsor honors the mission and longstanding commitment to St. Dominic Village. Mrs. White is a respected Houston philanthropist and executive leader with deep ties to the Catholic community and charitable organizations.
Guests will begin the evening with an exclusive VIP Reception at 5:30 PM, followed by a Welcome Reception at 6:00 PM, offering attendees an opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate the mission of compassionate service to seniors at St. Dominic Village.
St. Dominic Village has served as Houston’s only Catholic senior living community, providing a full continuum of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Rehabilitation, and Nursing Care.
Rooted in faith and guided by a commitment to dignity and compassion, the organization continues to impact thousands of lives each year.

The 2026 event is proudly chaired by Lori & Louis Pelz of Core Capital Management & Research, Inc., a Houston‐based investment advisory firm known for its disciplined, faith‐influenced approach to financial stewardship and community support. Louis Pelz is the founder and Chief Investment Officer, and both he and Lori Pelz have a longstanding history of philanthropic leadership and involvement in Catholic faith‐based initiatives that uplift mission‐driven organizations.
