Houston’s Ensemble Theatre, renowned for presenting culturally resonant and emotionally compelling stories, is set to host a one-night musical storytelling event, Ayoola LIVE, in collaboration with luxury event production company Ola Giwa Productions and entertainment company One87 Productions. The performance blends live band music with theatrical monologue, offering an intimate experience that merges stand-up, theatre, and immersive storytelling.

The show follows the journey of a Nigerian man as he navigates the heights of fame and love alongside the challenges of migration, fatherhood, identity, and legacy. With a small live band and spotlight staging, Ayoola LIVE brings a deeply personal narrative to life while highlighting universal themes that connect African and African-American communities.

Founded in 1976, The Ensemble Theatre is Houston’s oldest professional Black theatre and has long been recognized for cultivating community, inspiring minds, and providing a platform for diverse artistic voices. Through this event, the theatre aims to strengthen cultural ties within Houston’s Afro-Diaspora while creating a space for dialogue, expression, and shared experiences.
