Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to Host 2025 Infrastructure Summit

The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host its 2025 Infrastructure Summit on Thursday, September 18, at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The event is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and will bring together public officials, industry leaders, and community stakeholders to discuss the future of infrastructure in Greater Houston.

The program will include participation from Harris County Commissioners Rodney Ellis, Adrian Garcia, Tom Ramsey, and Lesley Briones, along with leaders from major regional agencies and organizations. Confirmed speakers include Tina Petersen of the Harris County Flood Control District, Dr. Esmaeil Porsa of Harris Health System, Francisco Sánchez, Jr. of Hagerty Consulting, Milton Rahman of Harris County Engineering, Roberto Treviño of the Harris County Toll Road Authority, and Scott Hill of Houston Airports.

Discussion will center on infrastructure priorities shaping the Houston area, with an emphasis on collaboration between government, business, and community stakeholders. The summit comes at a pivotal moment, as Houston advances its $16.7 billion Capital Improvement Plan, which allocates more than $8 billion toward water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. The region will also see $2.2 billion in new state transportation allocations through 2035, $1.7 billion in landside upgrades at Port Houston, and a multi-billion-dollar grid hardening initiative from CenterPoint Energy.

Collectively, these projects are expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs, enhance regional resilience, and generate billions of dollars in local economic activity. The Infrastructure Summit will provide attendees with insights into these initiatives and highlight opportunities for participation in the region’s long-term infrastructure development.

The Chamber acknowledges Fifth Third Bank as the underwriter of the 2025 Infrastructure Summit.
