Fort Bend County to Host 42nd Annual National Night Out on October 7

Fort Bend County will join communities across Texas and the nation in celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event invites residents, business owners, and community leaders in unincorporated areas to connect with neighbors and meet local law enforcement, including deputies from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

Now in its 42nd year in Texas, National Night Out is designed to foster stronger community ties, encourage neighborhood unity, and promote crime prevention. Participating neighborhoods host activities such as block parties, cookouts, or simply turning on porch lights to show support for law enforcement.

The event aims to:

  • Build positive relationships between residents and law enforcement
  • Raise awareness about crime and drug prevention
  • Encourage community involvement in public safety efforts
  • Demonstrate neighborhood solidarity and vigilance

Residents who wish to invite a Sheriff’s deputy to attend their gathering or social event during National Night Out can register using the QR code on the event flyer or online at https://form.jotform.com/242355162147150. Registration closes at 5:00 PM on October 2, 2025.

National Night Out continues to serve as a reminder that community engagement and collaboration with law enforcement are key to creating safer, stronger neighborhoods.
