Ferrel Bonner Announces Candidacy for Fort Bend County Judge

Ferrel Bonner has officially announced his candidacy for Fort Bend County Judge. Currently serving as Commissioner for Fort Bend County Emergency Services District 7 (FBCESD7), Bonner has been instrumental in providing health, welfare, emergency, and medical support to approximately 35,000 residents across a 37-square-mile area. His leadership has been pivotal in enhancing emergency response capabilities and community health services within the district.

A husband, father, and grandfather, Bonner has resided in Fort Bend County for 21 years. Raised in Houston's inner city, he learned early the value of hard work, consistency, and the importance of education. These principles have guided his personal and professional life. Bonner believes in the moral obligation to assist those who cannot help themselves, stating, “Every person deserves dignity and respect.”

With over 40 years of combined military, civil service, and community advocacy experience, Bonner is a retired U.S. Army Combat Veteran. His military career included 20 years of honorable service as a Military Intelligence Analyst supporting the National Security Agency's mission. In addition to his military service, Bonner has held various roles, including Certified Cyber Security Practitioner, Facility Information Security Officer, and Emergency Management professional.

Bonner's commitment to public service extends beyond his military and emergency services roles. He has been actively involved in numerous community organizations, including the Exchange Club of Fort Bend County, the Fort Bend County Historical Commission, and the Fort Bend Independent School District Board Leadership Program. His volunteer efforts have focused on areas such as youth mentorship, veterans' support, and community disaster response.

As a candidate for County Judge, Bonner emphasizes the importance of leadership, safety, infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility. He is committed to leading by example, ensuring transparency, and representing all voices in the county. Bonner advocates for strengthening partnerships with law enforcement and elected officials to enhance community safety and quality of life. He also aims to collaborate with county leaders to develop a robust infrastructure plan that considers environmental impact and community input.
