Halloween Fun for Kids at Children’s BOO!seum Houston and BOO!scovery Center

Children’s Museum Houston and Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center are stirring up a month of frightfully fun Halloween festivities for families across the Houston area. From now through October 31, 2025, kids can enjoy safe trick-or-treating, spooky-themed activities, and hair-raising weekend specials that promise giggles, thrills, and a few friendly frights.

At Children’s BOO!seum Houston, safe trick-or-treating kicks off October 9 and continues every Thursday evening, all weekend long, and all day on Halloween. Families can also enjoy a full lineup of special events each week: a Pumpkin Party on October 11 with glowing gourds, scratch art jack-o’-lanterns, pumpkin masks, and dancing with DJ Sally and Jack Skellington; Monster Shock on October 18 featuring Labubu-inspired meet-and-greets, Franken Toys, and hands-on experiments; Happy House Free Family Night on October 23 with costumes and DJ beats; Mad Science Mayhem on October 25 with slimy experiments, Addams Family fun, and potion-making; ’Twas the Night Before Halloween on October 30 with owl pellet dissections, face painting, and a ghost ring spectacle; and the grand finale, Happy Halloween on October 31, featuring K-Pop Demon Hunters cosplayers, sing-alongs, face painting, trick-or-treating, and a monster mash dance party with DJ Beetlejuice. Costume-wearing visitors get $2 off admission through October 17.

Meanwhile, the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center in Sugar Land transforms into the BOO!scovery Center for a month of Halloween hoopla. Ghouls just want to have fun, and little monsters are invited to enjoy slime-filled activities, creepy-crawly crafts, spine-tingling experiments, and safe trick-or-treating throughout October. Trick-or-treating starts October 10 and continues every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., all day on Saturdays and Sundays, and all day on Halloween. Visitors wearing costumes through October 25 receive $2 off admission.

The BOO!scovery Center also hosts weekly wicked events: Halloween Kick-Off on October 11 with Dracula Mickey, Skeleton Goofy, candy stations, story time, and creative crafts; Monster Mayhem on October 18 featuring a Stitch meet-and-greet, Make-a-Monster workshops, and electrifying Squishy Circuits activities; Mad Science on October 25 with gravity-defying performances, candy chemistry, wild wigs, and potion-making; and Happy Halloween on October 31 with all-day trick-or-treating, DJ music, face painting, clay monster-making, and ghost ring launches.
