Wild Bird Adventures: Live Raptors and Education Program at Fulshear Branch Library

Fort Bend County Libraries will present Wild Bird Adventures: Birds, Books, & Beyond on Monday, October 13, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Fulshear Branch Library, located at 6350 GM Library Road, off Texas Heritage Parkway, north of FM 1092.

The program, recommended for students in grades K-5, will feature live raptors serving as educational ambassadors to inspire participants to learn more about the natural world. Attendees will discover the sights, sounds, natural history, and migratory patterns of raptors such as hawks, kites, and eagles, as well as their critical role as top predators in the animal kingdom.

Mary Anne Morris, co-founder of Wild Bird Adventures, will also highlight age-appropriate books that children can read to further explore birds in the wild. With over 30 years of experience in native-bird conservation, Morris and her organization provide homes and habitats for birds that can no longer survive in the wild.

The program is supported by the Friends of the Fulshear Branch Library, whose proceeds from book sales and membership dues fund special programming and cultural events at the library. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited.
