Empower CDC Hosts Fall Feastival to Help Houston Families This Holiday Season

Empower Community Development Corporation (Empower CDC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to announce its First Annual Fall Feastival taking place Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Cypress VFW, 21902 Northwest Fwy, Cypress, TX 77429.

The Fall Feastival will feature Italian cuisine, a live band, a magic show, interactive games, and a silent auction. Guests are encouraged to dress in “harvest casual” attire and enjoy an evening of food, drinks, and entertainment, all included with ticket purchase.

Why It Matters

As Houston enters the holiday season, thousands of families continue to face food insecurity. According to Feeding America, nearly 1 in 7 Texans struggles with consistent access to food, and many live in food deserts with limited grocery options. The need becomes even greater during the holiday season when families face the additional burden of holiday meals and rising costs.

Empower CDC has been on the front lines of addressing these challenges. Through its community food pantry, the organization has served more than 4,200 families with fresh produce, groceries, and essentials in the past year alone. Funds raised from the Fall Feastival will directly support Empower CDC’s programs, including:

- Food Pantry Services – delivering nutritious groceries to families living in food deserts and households struggling with food insecurity.

- Housing Support & Senior Services – connecting ALICE households (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and seniors with stable housing and resources.

- Youth & Workforce Initiatives – providing afterschool programs, job readiness training, and mentorship opportunities to equip Houston residents with tools for economic mobility.

“Fall is a season of gathering, gratitude, and giving. Through the Fall Feastival, we’re not just bringing the community together for a night of fun, we’re creating hope for families who otherwise might go without during the holidays,” said Ken Kopech, Vice President of Operations at Empower CDC.
