Alejandra Salinas Reports Fundraising Total in Houston City Council Special Election

Alejandra Salinas, a candidate in the November 4 special election for Houston City Council At-Large Position 4, announced that her campaign has raised $502,341.43 from its launch through October 1, 2025. Fifteen candidates filed by the September deadline to compete for the seat, which will fill the remaining term running through January 1, 2028. Campaign finance reports covering contributions from July 1 through September 25 are due October 6.

Salinas, a nationally recognized attorney, has worked on cases involving voting rights, student protections against discrimination, and challenges to political gerrymandering before the Supreme Court.
