The Institute for Spirituality and Health at the Texas Medical Center will host the 32nd Annual Spirituality in Nursing Conference (SiNC) on October 24, 2025, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston. Early Bird registration is available through September 30.
The conference, now rebranded from the Institute’s Annual Nursing Conference, focuses on the theme “Skills at the Intersection of Spiritual and Mental Wellbeing.” It aims to help nursing professionals and students strengthen their capacity to provide compassionate care while supporting their own mental and spiritual health.
Representatives from institutions including Houston Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann Health System, Texas Children’s Hospital, UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing, and Texas Woman’s University Nelda C. Stark College of Nursing are part of the planning committee. Featured presenters include mental health experts and hospital chaplains who will provide training in Mental Health First Aid, peer support network development, and compassion-focused exercises.
The conference will equip participants to identify mental health challenges, intervene early, offer peer support, and cultivate resilience and compassion in clinical settings. Continuing Education Units are available for attendees.
Registration fees are $100 for working professionals and $25 for students during Early Bird, increasing to $150 and $50 for regular registration starting October 1.
