Project Row Houses Debuts 2025 Business Residency Cohort with Four New Local Ventures

Houston’s historic Third Ward is set to welcome four new small businesses as part of Project Row Houses’ 2025 Business Residency Cohort. A public ribbon‑cutting celebration will take place Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at 2503 Holman Street (home of one of the new businesses), with visits to each business location planned thereafter.

The Business Residency Program is a core part of PRH’s long-standing commitment to support economic development, cultural vitality, and community-led entrepreneurship in Third Ward — continuing a mission first launched in 1993 when PRH began transforming derelict shotgun houses into a neighborhood hub for art, housing, and community services.

The 2025 Cohort — Entrepreneurs & Their Visions

Come Bee Well House (Jasmine Lynch): A wellness‑focused brand centered on holistic self‑care. Come Bee aims to promote health, relaxation, and self‑care practices within the community, reflecting an emphasis on personal well‑being and community wellness as part of Third Ward’s revitalization.

Piano Vibes (Achille Javois): A music education and creative development studio located on Holman Street. Piano Vibes offers music lessons and creative outlets — bringing artistic education and development to the neighborhood and building on PRH’s deep ties to arts and culture.

Third Ward Blooms

Third Ward Blooms (Brittany Mayfield): A botanical design business that celebrates Black joy through florals and plants. Third Ward Blooms combines artistry and nature, offering floral and plant designs that reflect community identity and beauty — adding color, life, and aesthetic vibrancy to Third Ward.

Each of these businesses will benefit from up to three years of discounted commercial space, targeted mentorship, marketing and promotion support, and financial backing to host community‑centered events — resources provided through PRH’s Business Residency Program.

Community Impact: More than Just Businesses

This new cohort represents more than individual ventures: it reflects PRH’s broader vision of integrating commerce, culture, and community to strengthen Third Ward’s historical identity while supporting local economic growth. The residency program builds on past successes — earlier cohorts have seen businesses like a Black‑owned bookstore and a comic shop evolve into permanent, functioning retail spaces in the neighborhood.

The November 29 ribbon‑cutting event offers Third Ward residents and supporters a chance to meet the entrepreneurs, learn about their offerings, and see firsthand how small businesses can help revitalize neighborhoods. It’s a celebration of entrepreneurship, cultural pride, and community-driven change.

As Project Row Houses continues to expand its initiatives, including art exhibitions, affordable housing, and community enrichment programs, the addition of these new businesses underlines its enduring mission: to create a space where art, entrepreneurship, and community thrive together in Third Ward.
