Houston audiences will once again step into a world of glitter, glamour, and spectacular theatrical magic when Moulin Rouge! The Musical returns to the Hobby Center for a limited engagement July 14–19, 2026. Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center announced that single tickets for the Tony Award®-winning hit will go on sale Tuesday, December 2 at 10 a.m.

Based on Baz Luhrmann’s iconic 20th Century Studios film, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has become a global phenomenon since opening on Broadway in 2019. The production has earned 10 Tony Awards®, five Drama Desk Awards, two Drama League honors, and 10 Outer Critics Circle Award citations, cementing its status as one of the most celebrated musicals of the decade.

The current North American tour cast features Arianna Rosario as Satine, Jay Armstrong Johnson as Christian, Robert Petkoff as Harold Zidler, Andrew Brewer as The Duke of Monroth, Jahi Kearse as Toulouse-Lautrec, Danny Burgos as Santiago, Kaitlin Mesh as Nini, and Jerica Exum as the Satine Alternate, alongside a vibrant ensemble of performers.

Critics have praised the show’s electrifying staging and emotional impact. The New York Times declared it “Spectacular! Euphoric!” while the New York Post called it “a fabulous new musical.” Entertainment Weekly even suggested it “could run for 50 years.”

Directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, the musical features a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh, and music supervision and arrangements by Justin Levine. The creative team boasts multiple Tony-winning designers responsible for the show’s immersive sets, dazzling costumes, and high-energy lighting and sound.
