Grand Hyatt DFW Airport, the premier hotel located inside Terminal D at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), is celebrating its 20-year anniversary with a $34 million, multi-phase renovation set for completion in early 2026. The transformation includes upgraded guestrooms and suites, enhanced event spaces with two new rooftop venues, a redesigned lobby, improved corridors, and a reimagined restaurant and lounge.

Since opening in 2005, Grand Hyatt DFW Airport has provided premium accommodations for travelers, conferences, and events, offering direct access to Terminal D and the Skylink system. As the first Grand Hyatt airport hotel in Texas, it quickly became a preferred destination for travelers seeking luxury, convenience, and sophisticated dining options.
“We are thrilled to celebrate 20 years of memorable guest experiences and extraordinary events,” said Jeff Babcock, general manager of Grand Hyatt DFW Airport. “On this anniversary, we also honor eight colleagues who have been with us since our opening in 2005. Their dedication across food and beverage, events, housekeeping, and stewarding has been key to delivering exceptional service. The hotel’s transformation reinforces our legacy as the premier hotel and event venue within DFW Airport while integrating the latest technologies to meet the needs of modern travelers and groups.”

Design and Guestroom Enhancements
The hotel’s design evolution blends aeronautical inspiration with elements reflecting the Texas landscape. The redesigned lobby features marble flooring, dramatic ceilings with accent lighting, and artwork by local artists. Guestrooms and suites will increase from 298 to 315, featuring a palette of subdued greens and natural blues inspired by the Texas western prairies. Updated rooms will include modern bathrooms with larger vanities, showers, and soaking tubs, along with smart technologies like automatic blackout shades and runway-view windows.
Dining and Event Spaces
The reimagined Grand Met Restaurant and Lounge will showcase modern and international cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients, complemented by stylish seating and acoustic ceiling treatments. New private and semi-private dining rooms will provide an elevated culinary experience.
The hotel’s event spaces, totaling more than 20,000 square feet including a 6,600-square-foot ballroom, will offer state-of-the-art technology for corporate meetings, social gatherings, and celebrations. Additional enhancements include a top-floor executive boardroom and a rooftop indoor/outdoor venue overlooking the airport runways.
