Galveston College Names Courtney Lamm Executive Director of Development and Foundation

Galveston College has named Courtney Lamm as its new executive director of Development and the Galveston College Foundation, bringing more than a decade of experience in philanthropy, fundraising and community engagement. She will begin her role on Dec. 1.

Lamm previously held development leadership positions at Houston Public Media and the University of Houston, where she helped secure major contributions that expanded access to education. Her background in marketing research and communications has guided her work in shaping strategies that connect community needs with organizational goals.

At Galveston College, Lamm plans to focus on strengthening partnerships, increasing scholarship support, and expanding resources that help students overcome financial and personal barriers. She will collaborate with the Foundation Board, college leadership, donors, alumni and community groups to build a unified vision for long-term growth.

Lamm, who has longstanding ties to Galveston Island, said the college’s mission of access and opportunity reflects her own values. She aims to broaden the Foundation’s outreach through enhanced fundraising efforts, stronger workforce development partnerships and initiatives that improve student success.
