BMW Group Financial Services North America is ushering in a new era of innovation and growth with a strategic leadership transition that places a seasoned and dynamic executive at the helm of its pre-owned business operations. Effective July 1, 2025, Broderick McKinney will assume the role of Vice President, Used Cars, succeeding Rocio Carrascosa, who will return to Spain to take on a prestigious appointment as CEO of BMW Bank GmbH’s Spanish division.
This exciting change highlights BMW’s commitment to evolving leadership and driving excellence across its global operations—an ethos that Houston’s diverse luxury vehicle market continues to embrace.
A Legacy of Performance and Vision
McKinney is no stranger to BMW’s high-performance standards and visionary outlook. He currently serves as Vice President of the Central Region for BMW of North America, where he has spearheaded transformative initiatives in sales, marketing, aftersales, and center development across the Midwest. Under his leadership, the Central Region not only rebounded from pandemic-era challenges but also set record-breaking new vehicle sales over the past two years—a testament to his deep industry insight and ability to energize dealer networks.
Having first joined BMW in 2003 as a Market Sales Operations Manager in Chicago, McKinney’s rise through the ranks includes notable success as Department Head for MINI in the Central Region. His diverse experience across multiple business units positions him perfectly to amplify BMW's footprint in the competitive used car market.
A New Chapter for Used Cars at BMW
In his new executive role, McKinney will report directly to Birgit Boehm, President and CEO of BMW Group Financial Services, NA, and serve on the company’s prestigious Executive Committee. His appointment comes at a pivotal time, as the used car sector becomes increasingly vital in the luxury automotive market amid evolving consumer demands, supply chain recalibrations, and a growing interest in certified pre-owned (CPO) programs.
“We are excited to welcome Broderick to the BMW Group Financial Services team as he takes over the pre-owned business, a critical component of our operations,” said Boehm. “With his extensive experience working closely with our dealer network and understanding customer behavior, we are confident he will drive continued growth and innovation in this key area.”
Honoring Rocio Carrascosa’s Trailblazing Tenure
McKinney’s new role follows the impactful leadership of Rocio Carrascosa, whose tenure as Vice President, Used Cars, has been marked by strategic agility and operational excellence. Over the past three years, Carrascosa helped shape BMW’s pre-owned strategy and brand positioning in North America, leaving a solid foundation for future innovation.
Her return to Spain as CEO of BMW Bank GmbH’s Spanish branch signifies a well-earned elevation to one of the most influential roles within the global BMW financial ecosystem. The transition also reflects BMW’s ongoing investment in empowering diverse talent to lead across international markets.
Houston's Enthusiastic Outlook
As Houston remains one of the nation’s top luxury car markets, this leadership change is especially meaningful for local BMW enthusiasts and business partners. McKinney’s customer-centric approach and track record of high performance align with the values of Houston’s discerning automotive consumers and progressive dealership network.
Houston Style Magazine congratulates Broderick McKinney on this remarkable milestone and looks forward to watching how his leadership will further elevate BMW’s pre-owned business across North America and beyond.
