Music Under the Star Returns to the Bullock Museum with a Stellar 2025 Lineup

An Austin summer tradition invites Texans to groove under the stars every Friday in June

 Texas nights are heating up again as the Bullock Texas State History Museum proudly announces the return of its beloved Music Under the Star concert series. Taking place every Friday in June 2025, this free, family-friendly outdoor concert series transforms the Capitol Mall into a vibrant soundscape of homegrown talent, diverse rhythms, and community connection.

Since its debut in 2003, Music Under the Star has drawn music lovers from across the state to experience the soul of Texas music in an unforgettable setting. This year, the lineup once again shines a spotlight on local artists, cultural fusion, and award-winning sounds — all under the open sky.

🎶 2025 Lineup: Celebrating Texas Sounds Across Generations

June 6Kickoff with Luke Bulla, the genre-blending maestro whose Americana tunes carry the heart of Texas storytelling. The evening begins with The Sentimental Family Band, known for their Austin Music Award-winning retro-country flair.

June 13: Dream-pop takes center stage with San Gabriel, bringing nostalgic synth vibes with a modern twist. Opening the night is viral sensation Pedal Steel Noah, a 17-year-old prodigy recently featured in Texas Monthly for reviving Nashville sounds for Gen Z ears.

June 20Tejana power surges with headliners The Tiarras, three sisters crafting a bold blend of Latin, rock, reggae, and soul. Female supergroup Llamativa will set the stage with a high-energy fusion of Cumbia, Salsa, Tejano, and more.

June 27The grand finale features the ever-evolving Austin legend Ian Moore, whose fusion of rock, blues, soul, and indie-folk has captivated audiences for decades. Rising Texas rockers Brodie Lane open with gritty southern storytelling and alt-country grit.

Pack a blanket or folding chair, bring the whole family, and enjoy an evening of great music, cool drinks, and delicious bites from local food trucks and The Star Café. The Bullock Museum Store will also be open with unique, Texas-themed gifts and souvenirs.
