Donna Sims Wilson Named United Way of Greater Houston’s 2024-2025 Volunteer of the Year

United Way of Greater Houston has named Donna Sims Wilson, chief operating officer at Kah Capital Management, as the recipient of its 2024-2025 Robert W. Kneebone Volunteer of the Year Award. The honor recognizes outstanding volunteer leadership and service to the community.

Wilson has supported the organization for years, serving on its Board of Trustees since 2017. Her roles have included service on the Executive Committee, chairing the Finance Committee, and participating in the Building Possibilities Campaign. She has also played a key role in the organization’s disaster recovery efforts, co-chairing the Disaster Recovery Committee of the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance and leading the Disaster Preparedness Committee since 2021.

Her contributions include oversight of $53 million in Hurricane Harvey relief and leadership during the Winter Storm Uri response. Wilson brings over three decades of experience in finance and serves on several boards, including the Greater Houston Partnership and the Houston Methodist Academic Institute.

The Kneebone Award was presented at United Way’s annual meeting.
