Empowering the Future: NAREB Presents Los Angeles Community Wealth Building Day on Saturday, July 26

LOS ANGELES, CA – July 2025 – In a continued mission to close the racial wealth gap and advance Black homeownership, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) is bringing its transformative Community Wealth Building Day to Los Angeles on Saturday, July 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hosted in partnership with Bishop Craig Worsham and the People’s Independent Church of God in Christ, the event will take place at 5856 West Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90043, and is free and open to the public.

This high-impact, community-facing initiative is part of NAREB’s nationwide Building Black Wealth Tour, a powerful campaign that has reached more than 50,000 attendees through over 200 events since its launch in November 2023. With a strong focus on generational wealth creation, this local activation promises a day filled with knowledge, empowerment, and practical resources to help families take control of their financial futures through homeownership, real estate investment, and career opportunities.

A Wealth of Resources for Every Generation

The Los Angeles Community Wealth Building Day is thoughtfully designed to provide attendees with both the tools and connections necessary to navigate the complex landscape of wealth building. Through engaging workshops, expert-led seminars, and personalized one-on-one consultations, guests can expect to walk away with actionable steps to build, protect, and pass on wealth.

What to Do With Big Mama’s House – A candid discussion on inherited property, estate planning, and protecting family legacies.

The ABCs of Homebuying – A step-by-step guide for first-time buyers navigating today’s housing market.

Real Estate Investing – Learn how to grow wealth through rental properties, flipping, and more.

“Our goal is to bring life-changing information directly to the community,” said Lyric Armstrong, President of the Consolidated Board of Realtists, NAREB’s Los Angeles Chapter. “There are so many untapped opportunities to build wealth, and we want to ensure our community has the tools, access, and confidence to act on them.”

Building Bridges to Economic Equity

This event isn’t just about buying homes—it’s about building legacies. It serves as a safe space where families, professionals, and community leaders can come together to have honest conversations around wealth, gentrification, generational transitions, and disaster recovery—especially poignant given the recent wildfires in the region. Resources will also be made available to support those impacted by the fires as they navigate recovery and rebuilding.

NAREB’s event is supported by a coalition of historic Black institutions and organizations, including the African American Mayors Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Church of God in Christ, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., National Baptist Convention, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and the National Bar Association.

“Participation by our partners underscores a unified commitment to economic justice and sustainable wealth-building in Black communities,” said Dr. Courtney Johnson Rose, NAREB President. “We are not just talking about solutions—we are implementing them with the power of collaboration.”
