Apple TV+ Drops Trailer for Final Season of Beloved Comedy Series “Acapulco” — Premieres July 23

Apple TV+ is turning up the heat this summer with the official trailer release for the highly anticipated fourth and final season of its critically acclaimed bilingual comedy, Acapulco. Set to premiere globally on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the season kicks off with a double-episode debut, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday through September 17.

Starring Emmy and SAG Award-winner Eugenio Derbez, who also serves as executive producer, Acapulco has captured hearts with its vibrant storytelling, nostalgic charm, and cultural authenticity. Inspired by the 2017 box office hit How to Be a Latin Lover, the show seamlessly blends English and Spanish to tell the coming-of-age journey of Máximo Gallardo, both in the 1980s and present day.

A Bittersweet Farewell with High Stakes

In this final chapter, the stakes have never been higher. In 1986, a new rival threatens Las Colinas’ reign as the top resort in Acapulco. The young Máximo (played by Enrique Arrizon) is forced to pull out all the stops to reclaim their prestigious status in the “Best Hotels” rankings. Meanwhile, in the present day, the older Máximo (Derbez) races against time to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before its grand reopening.

As fans prepare to say goodbye, the ten-episode season promises to deliver the heart, humor, and colorful nostalgia that made Acapulco a breakout hit.

A Star-Studded Ensemble and Exciting New Faces

The fan-favorite ensemble returns with Fernando Carsa, Rafael Cebrián, Vanessa Bauche, Camila Perez, Carlos Corona, Chord Overstreet, Jessica Collins, Regina Reynoso, and Regina Orozco. Also reprising their roles are Damián Alcázar, Jaime Camil, Cristo Fernández, and Carolina Moreno.

Season four also welcomes newcomers Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Omar Chaparro in recurring guest roles, and Jack McBrayer in a special appearance—adding fresh energy and surprises to the final stretch of the story.

Behind the Scenes of a Global Hit

Produced by Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions, and The Tannenbaum Company, Acapulco is the brainchild of creators Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman. Sam Laybourne returns as showrunner, with a powerhouse production team including Ben Odell, Kim and Eric Tannenbaum, Jason Wang, Jaime Eliezer Karas (also serving as director), and Sonia Gambaro for 3Pas Studios.

A Streaming Giant’s Crown Jewel

Since its debut in 2019, Apple TV+ has established itself as a global streaming force. The platform has racked up over 578 wins and 2,648 award nominations, with standout originals like Ted Lasso and CODA. Acapulco joins this elite lineup as a fan-favorite series that resonates across generations and cultures.
