United Way of Greater Houston Names Cynthia Hansen Chair of 2024-25 Annual Campaign

United Way of Greater Houston has announced Cynthia Hansen, executive vice president and president of gas transmission and midstream for Enbridge, as chair of the 2024-25 annual community campaign. In this role, Hansen will engage philanthropists and potential donors from corporations and organizations across the region to expand support for United Way’s mission. Julie Sudduth, executive vice president and regional president of PNC Bank, will serve as vice chair.

Hansen, a longtime United Way supporter and current board trustee, brings her extensive leadership experience to the role. Enbridge, a key supporter of United Way, is also a lead funding partner for the Greater Houston Disaster Alliance, launched in 2023 to enhance disaster preparedness and recovery efforts.

Hansen expressed her commitment to the campaign, highlighting the collective power of donors, volunteers, and community partners in making a positive impact. "I’m honored to serve as chair of this year’s campaign and look forward to working with our dedicated volunteers and generous supporters," she said.

United Way CEO Amanda McMillian praised Hansen’s leadership, noting her deep understanding of the community’s needs and her ability to rally support for the organization's efforts to help families achieve financial stability. McMillian also acknowledged Sudduth’s strong philanthropic background and commitment to the Houston community, which will further strengthen the campaign.
