This October, Cadillac is making automotive history with the auction of its first retail production all-electric 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, VIN 001. As part of Barrett-Jackson’s prestigious Scottsdale Fall Auction, held from October 10-13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale, the groundbreaking SUV will hit the auction block with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Detroit Children’s Fund—a nonprofit dedicated to improving educational opportunities for Detroit’s children.
The event marks another milestone in Barrett-Jackson's over 50-year legacy of philanthropy. "We’re thrilled to partner with Cadillac on this significant occasion," said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. "The ESCALADE IQ represents a transformative moment in the luxury SUV market, and its sale will directly support Detroit’s children and their future."
A New Era for Cadillac
Dominating the luxury full-size SUV segment for over a decade, Cadillac’s ESCALADE enters a new phase with the ESCALADE IQ. The brand’s first all-electric full-size SUV is built on GM’s modular EV platform and powered by a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system. Delivering over 200 kWh of power, it boasts an estimated 460-mile range on a single charge. With 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque when in Velocity Max mode, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds, providing impressive performance alongside its eco-friendly design.
“The 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ sets a new standard for luxury SUVs,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “It combines cutting-edge technology, iconic design, and superior craftsmanship. We are proud to donate VIN 001 to this charitable cause, ensuring every dollar from its sale goes toward improving the lives of children in Detroit.”
State-of-the-Art Features
Inside, the ESCALADE IQ is a technological marvel, featuring a 55-inch pillar-to-pillar curved display and an available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system. The available executive second-row seating package includes 14-way power-adjustable, heated, ventilated, and massaging second-row seats, along with dual wireless charging pads and a panoramic fixed-glass roof. Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology comes standard, offering three years of complimentary OnStar Super Cruise service.
Empowering Detroit’s Children
Proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Detroit Children’s Fund, which works to ensure every child in Detroit receives a high-quality education. Over the past 53 years, Barrett-Jackson has raised more than $155 million for charitable causes, and the sale of the ESCALADE IQ promises to further this impactful tradition.
The 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ auction presents a unique opportunity for collectors to own a piece of automotive history while contributing to a worthy cause. To participate in this charitable auction, bidders can register online.
