The Texas Renaissance Festival (TRF) gears up for its golden jubilee by extending its tradition of philanthropy through various charitable initiatives leading up to the milestone celebration. As a cherished icon in the region for half a century, TRF remains committed to giving back to the communities that have fueled its success and nurtured its growth.
"With our 50th anniversary on the horizon, we're taking a moment to reflect on our journey and the profound impact of community support," expressed Kolton Ammerman, Marketing Director for the Texas Renaissance Festival. "TRF has become a haven of joy and enchantment, where visitors escape into a realm of magic and merriment. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our local communities. As a token of our gratitude, we're embarking on a series of charitable endeavors to give back."
Here's a glimpse of the charitable events TRF will be participating in this spring and summer:
**March 23rd:** TRF will sponsor the MS Walk: The Woodlands and field a team – the TexRenFest Striders – to raise funds for the cause. Join or donate to the TexRenFest Striders [here](insertlinkhere).
**April 6th:** TRF will host a blood drive at their main offices, inviting community members to donate the gift of life. Sign up [here](insertlinkhere).
**July 9th:** The King of the Texas Renaissance Festival will promote literacy by reading at the Tomball Children’s Library.
**August (stay tuned for more info):** TRF, in collaboration with Haak Wines, will organize a food drive for the Galveston County Food Bank, culminating in a celebration at the winery.
Nestled just an hour north of Houston, the Texas Renaissance Festival stands as the nation’s premier festival of food, fun, and Renaissance magic, drawing over half a million visitors annually. The 50th-anniversary season, spanning eight themed weekends from October 12 through December 1, 2024 (including Thanksgiving Friday), promises to be an extraordinary celebration of community, culture, and cherished traditions.
